The Hadrian's Wall app has now been on sale for almost 3 years. Originally the app was built for the Hadrian's Wall Trust until the charity became no more. When Pocket Tours and the Trust first began to work together it was agreed that the app would be a paid for download in the app store for a modest £1.99. 
This would enable Pocket Tours to recover the development cost and create much needed revenue for the charity. When the Trust was no more in existence, it left the app in limbo for quite sometime. Pocket Tours and the team however didn't let this put them off and still worked hard to market the app and keep everything up to date. In the process of this the company made some good friends and new contacts. Over the last 12 months Pocket Tours have been working with new organisations who work on many areas of Hadrian's Wall Country, from Museums to marketing groups and the general public who simply love enjoying the fantastic Roman site and all it has to offer! After much thought, deliberation and conversation, it has now been decided that the app is to become totally FREE download from the Apple App Store.

The app previously priced at £1.99, and then £2.29 will, as of April, become totally FREE for anyone with an iPhone or iPad to download.

This means even more people can now enjoy the app, including tourists, locals and anyone else interested in this amazing historic site and all that surrounds it!

All locations of interest are marked on the map giving accurate GPS coordinates along with a map marker that shows the user precisely where they are.
Each Roman Site gives a full description of what can be found there, a brief history, opening times and contact details. Each mile castle and other roman remains are also marked on the map showing the grand scale of what Hadrian’s Wall once was, throwing the user back in time!
