This week is the last week to check out what's going on at Chesters and Birdoswald roman forts! Since July 19th both sites have held separate events running up until Monday 25th August. 

At Chester's  you'll find the Children's Archaeology Detectives. "Let the kids get stuck into history with the chance to uncover clues, and handle artifacts. Take part in a sand pit dig to unveil secrets from the late Roman period – the time of King Arthur! Plus plenty of hands on activities" 

Further west at Birdoswald there's the Children's Warrior School!  "Birdoswald is known for being a stronghold during Roman rule but did you know that its story also continues into the Dark Ages? Join us as we teach little warriors how to master the sword and defend themselves!"
